›What size is a Nigeria Passport photo?

It is a digital photo with no set print size. The head, measured from chin to top of hair, must be 50%–69% of the photo height. Digital file: JPEG, up to 2 MB (compression ≤ 20:1). pixtidy exports 600×800 pixels, inside the official limits.

›What size is the Nigerian passport photo for the online portal?

The NIS portal's photo upload expects 600×800 pixels, JPEG, up to 2 MB, with the head (top of hair to chin) 50–69% of the photo height and the eyes 56–69% from the bottom. Eyeglasses are no longer allowed.

›Can I remove the background from my Nigerian passport photo?

No. The portal shows photos with the background cut out or replaced by editing tools as unacceptable. Take the photo against a plain white wall instead — pixtidy only crops and resizes, it never replaces the background.

›Can I take a Nigeria Passport photo at home with my phone?

Yes. Ask someone to take it from about 1–1.5 m away at eye level, in daylight, in front of a plain white or off-white wall. Face the camera with a neutral expression and no glasses. Upload it here and we crop, size and check it for you.

›Why do photos get rejected?

The most common reasons are: head too small or too large, shadows on the face or background, wrong background colour, glasses or glare, a tilted head, blur, and photos edited with filters or AI. Our checker tests each of these before you pay.

›Do you edit or retouch my face?

No. Officials reject photos altered with filters or AI, so we only crop, level and resize. We never change your face or replace the background.

›Is my photo uploaded to your servers?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and we never store it.

›What if my photo is rejected?

If an official rejects a photo our checker marked as passing, email support@pixtidy.com and we refund you in full.
