Frequently asked questions
›What size is an Israel Passport photo?
Print size 2×2 in (51×51 mm). There is no official head-size number; we frame the head at 50%–69% of the photo height so the head and shoulders are clearly visible. pixtidy exports 600×600 pixels.
›What are the Israeli passport photo requirements in the US?
Israeli missions in the United States ask for two recent photos taken within the last 3 months, 2 × 2 inches, on a white background, with your hair tucked behind your ears, facial features fully visible including eyebrows, and no glasses. Photos must be good quality and in focus.
›Is the Israeli passport photo 5 × 5 cm or 2 × 2 inches?
Both appear on the consulate's page: the general requirement is 5 × 5 cm, and in the United States the required size is 2 × 2 inches. Use the size of the mission where you apply.
›Can I wear glasses in my Israeli passport photo?
No. The consulate's guidance for applications in the United States says no glasses.
›Can I take an Israel Passport photo at home with my phone?
Yes. Ask someone to take it from about 1–1.5 m away at eye level, in daylight, in front of a plain white or off-white wall. Face the camera with a neutral expression and remove your glasses unless this document's rules, listed on this page, allow them. Upload it here and we crop, size and check it for you.
›Why do photos get rejected?
The most common reasons are: head too small or too large, shadows on the face or background, wrong background colour, glasses or glare, a tilted head, blur, and photos edited with filters or AI. Our checker tests each of these before you pay.
›Do you edit or retouch my face?
No. Officials reject photos altered with filters or AI, so we only crop, level and resize. We never change your face or replace the background.
›Is my photo uploaded to your servers?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and we never store it.
›What if my photo is rejected?
If an official rejects a photo our checker marked as passing, email support@pixtidy.com and we refund you in full.
