Frequently asked questions
›What size is a Turkey Passport photo?
Print size 50×60 mm. There is no official head-size number; we frame the head at 60%–75% of the photo height so the head and shoulders are clearly visible. pixtidy exports 1181×1417 pixels.
›What are the Turkish passport photo requirements?
A biometric photo of 50 × 60 mm, taken within the last 6 months, on a white background with no pattern and no shadows, with your face centred and fully visible together with your hairstyle, eyes open, looking at the camera, even light and no red eye.
›Can I use a 35 × 45 mm photo for a Turkish passport?
No. NVI asks for 50 × 60 mm and warns that photos in other sizes or on other backgrounds can stop the application or fail quality control, so remind the photo shop not to cut the photo to 35 × 45 mm.
›Can I wear glasses in my Turkish passport photo?
Only if you have to wear them. The eyes must be clearly visible, with no reflections on the lenses, no tinted lenses or sunglasses, and frames that do not cover the eyes.
›Can I wear a headscarf in my Turkish passport photo?
Yes. NVI says that in photos with a headscarf the face must be visible from the tip of the chin to the forehead, with no shadows on the face.
›How recent must my Turkish passport photo be?
Taken within the last 6 months, so that it shows how you look now. In photos of young children, no other people or objects may appear.
›Can I take a Turkey Passport photo at home with my phone?
Yes. Ask someone to take it from about 1–1.5 m away at eye level, in daylight, in front of a plain white or off-white wall. Face the camera with a neutral expression and remove your glasses unless this document's rules, listed on this page, allow them. Upload it here and we crop, size and check it for you.
›Why do photos get rejected?
The most common reasons are: head too small or too large, shadows on the face or background, wrong background colour, glare or tinted lenses on glasses, a tilted head, blur, and photos edited with filters or AI. Our checker tests each of these before you pay.
›Do you edit or retouch my face?
No. Officials reject photos altered with filters or AI, so we only crop, level and resize. We never change your face or replace the background.
›Is my photo uploaded to your servers?
No. Everything runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and we never store it.
›What if my photo is rejected?
If an official rejects a photo our checker marked as passing, email support@pixtidy.com and we refund you in full.
