›What size is a United States Green Card photo?

Print size 2×2 in (51×51 mm). The head, measured from chin to top of hair, must be 50%–69% of the photo height. pixtidy exports 600×600 pixels.

›What are the USCIS green card photo requirements?

Two identical colour 2×2 inch photos on thin glossy paper, unmounted and unretouched, with a white to off-white background. The head (top of hair to chin) must be 1 to 1⅜ inches and the eyes 1⅛ to 1⅜ inches from the bottom. The same photos are used for Forms I-485, I-765 and I-131.

›Do I need photos for the N-400 citizenship application?

Only if you live outside the United States (for example military members and their spouses abroad). Applicants in the US have their photo taken at the biometrics appointment. If you do need them, the N-400 photo rules are the same 2×2 inch rules as the green card.

›Can I take a United States Green Card photo at home with my phone?

Yes. Ask someone to take it from about 1–1.5 m away at eye level, in daylight, in front of a plain white or off-white wall. Face the camera with a neutral expression and no glasses. Upload it here and we crop, size and check it for you.

›Why do photos get rejected?

The most common reasons are: head too small or too large, shadows on the face or background, wrong background colour, glasses or glare, a tilted head, blur, and photos edited with filters or AI. Our checker tests each of these before you pay.

›Do you edit or retouch my face?

No. Officials reject photos altered with filters or AI, so we only crop, level and resize. We never change your face or replace the background.

›Is my photo uploaded to your servers?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your photo never leaves your device and we never store it.

›What if my photo is rejected?

If an official rejects a photo our checker marked as passing, email support@pixtidy.com and we refund you in full.
